I have a main piano loop and a horn sample, what now ?

I sampled a small portion of a piano from a song and pitched it down.

I found a short horn loop i really like from another song and wanted to mix it in with the rest, but its much harder than i thought it would be, i keep tryin to pitch it up and down but i cant seem to be able to tune it right.

Maybe i am doing it the completely wrong way..

Any advice ?


What im tryin to do is similar to what Premier did on this track @0.13 with the horn/sax, but mine have main a piano loop



Mine might be more similar to what Havoc did on Survival Of The Fittest @0.11

Make sure you're pitching it up whole semitones and not just by cents.
Try playing an instrument along with both loops to find out what keys they are in, and pitch up or down accordingly.
