Step 1:
Make sure you go to your nearest "Music Equipment Store" and buy some "Quarter Inch Adapters" 2 comes in a pack
they should cost you nothing more than 8 or 9 bucks ... (May be cheaper can't remember exact price i paid)
but anyways, What you want to do is
attach them to the "RED AND WHITE" RCA cables coming from your turntable.

Step 2:
Once you have plugged the "Adapters" to the "RCA Cables"
Plug the Adapted cables into the "RECORD IN" Sockets of your Mpc1000.

Step 3:
Press: MODE+PAD5
It should take you to the record screen
Now what you want to do from here is play your record and
figure out which part you want.

Step 4:
This is how it should look for you to properly record a sample from turntable to mpc

INPUT:ANALOG MODE:STEREO MONITOR:ON
THRESHOLD: -48 TIME:00m10s

(Leave All Settings As Is Except "TIME")

Now for the "TIME" that's for you to decide how much you
want to record into the mpc

Step 5:
After you've chosen and recorded your sample,
It's going to let you have the ability to preview what you've recorded.

PRESS:PLAY to hear
PRESS:KEEP if your satisfied with your sample
PRESS:RETRY if your not satisfied

After these steps are completed CONGRATS you have recorded your first sample into your mpc1000!!!
