How to properly sample

Iight i know how to rip audio off audacity to sample, but how to i chop it up ill like how j dilla used to, have certain parts come in on a different bpm than the rest of the song, like the maschine is difficult since im a novice......like fx n shit how do u do all the ill shit

Find a sound you like and work around it, get creative and let your imagination run and make a beat out of it. Then make another one, but this time challenge yourself to make it better.... repeat countless times.
