Hi
I use Cubase 5 and I'm an amateur
Can anyone tell me how I can convert a .gig sample into a VST? I can use halion to convert them to WAV, but using the WAV files is very time-consuming.
I use Sonivox Samples. So please tell me if it's possible to import them into Cubase.
Thank you

sadly no, you have samples and so need a rompler/sampler to play them back

halion is your vst for doing this or any other similar sample player

if you choose to use any vst sample player you will need to create a mapping of the sample set to midi notes for it to be of any use unless they are one shots

Kontakt can import gig files and usually does a reasonable job of the mapping of samples - a lot easier than having to redo it.
