How Do you chop like this on MPC1000?

My chops Suck. on MPC I Try to chop. And than when I put them on the pads and play with my drum beat, The snare from the sample hits later than the drum snare i layed down. It doesn't match. If you watch this guy his is perfect. I have no clue how this guy does it. Its so perfect. Any tips on how to chop? cuze I cant do it. I need help please.

BTW what genre of music is he sampling?
 
sounds like a soul sample very common for people to sample 70s soul these days. really hip hop was built on 70s soul. as far as how he did it first off he chopped a sample without drums in it. 2nd he just chopped sounds. Thats what you gotta do sometimes chop by the sound and assign it to a pad. It takes a second to get used to but once u do its a great way to work
 
That guy is just using an mpd and fls. The reason his chops are smooth is prolly because he has practiced a good amount.
