How do i get downloaded samples into logic pro x?

I downloaded some free samples from cymatics and i got them into logic by dragging them to the loops menu.. but that just obviously only lets me use the samples as loops. Any tips on how to format them so that i can use them as midi??
 
I would say use the exs24 to chop up samples, and when you sequence the chops it will be in midi. You can highlight all your chops for example a 4 bar loop. I believe ctrl t or e will turn your highlighted chops into a midi version. I hope this helps
