Help with sampling...

Hi i have a Mpc 2000 xl and im new to sampling when i sample i have trouble putting a sample together can someone tell me how i can get better at sampling?

THINK LIKE A DRUMMER>>>get your drum programs organized, put the kicks on the left, snares on the right, toms in the middle, hats on the top right, and practice along to some songs that you like...

It doesnt matter how many TIMES you read the manual, or ask these new-jack producers about sampling, IF YOUR DRUM GAME AINT TITE, YOUR BEAT AINT RITE, LIL HOMIE LOCC DOGG...

Treat the MP like an instrument and be patient as you practice. Eventually you'll be able to decipher samples for their chops before you even chop them. Just have to keep on grinding.
