Having a wierd bug with importing mp3's

So sometimes my gf records cool sound like the crickets and cars driving so I can put them into my tracks (chillstep-chiltrap). I collected them and tried importing them into FL studio but it doesnt work. If i drag them onto the song sequencer and drop them in they are blank...however i can drag and drop mp3 songs from cd's just fine. She recorded these sounds on her phone if that helps any.

Thanks in advance, Id really love to use some of these sounds!
 
if she recorded them on her phone they may not be mp3 probablly a different format. right click file and go to properties to see what format its in. then google for a online file converter.
 
so what file type are these mystery files?

and remember that there are different settings for wav 16/44100 - 24/44100 - 16/48000 - 24/48000 - 32/4800 (bit depth/sample rate) etc. if you are looking to import into some programs you may not be able to go higher than 24 bit and you may need to change the sample rate
