Usually before I record my sample in virtual DJ I remove the bass so I can replay my own bass line and dont have to do it in FL Studio but sometimes I find a sample where I dont know If im going to use the bass in the sample or replay it so i record with the bass but the only problem im having is im okay making a filterd bassline from the sample but the high end of the sample always has that little bass in it which im trying to remove. I make two channels of the same sample one for the high end and one for the bass but can anyone give me any tips on removing the bass from the first channel.

^^^ second above. use a high pass filter and adjust the frequency cut-off until the bass is removed

Take the Parametric EQ2 in Fl Studio and use it to pinpoint the frequencies that are bothering you. It's not ever going to be perfect, because instruments often hit similar frequencies.
