First Beat Ever - New MPC 500

Just made my first beat ever, some nasty sample I found on here.

Lemme know what I need to work on.

I threw the bassline together pretty quick, but for a first I think its a head throbber.

the drums ruin everything. you should of took some time to get some better ones. besides that i'm kinda feelin it. that a sample or naw?
 
Ha, I remember when this sample was originally posted.

Actually my flip is on the link in my signature, "Stare Well" is the track name. Was one of my first flips too, but it was done on FL.

As for your flip, I was waiting for the drums to hit the entire time. You can barely even hear them. Keep on keepin' on, and you will improve.
 
not bad not bad at all, but like them boys said over me, work on the drums and a bit more variation.
