I listen to a lot of Shlohmo music and I've noticed that he re-uses a lot of samples (mainly the 808 kicks, closed hat ticks and bass), but somehow they have a different "feel" to them. Going out on a limb, trying to find this question out, but does anyone know or have been able to spot particular sounds he uses from commercial 808 kits like Goldbaby or something, or does he have access to a real 808 machine?
*Also, does anybody know if he creates his synth lines from scratch or does he use a particular vst or hardware synth?
