so i've been looking into a small variety of old samplers (such as akai s900 s950s) and i'd like to know more about them. as far as i've come to learn is that they're efficient for adding filters and lowering the sample rate to obtain a more raw old sound. i'd say my question to start is how can this sampler be affiliated with my cassette recording device (tascam portastudio 414)? i'd like to add these filters to an overall song, as well as individual instruments. filters such as lo-fi-dusty sound, reverb, other various filters that can be applied to normal instruments. i am at no place of knowledge to even guess how to add these filters. floppy disc maybe? beats me. this is the reason i signed up for this website. i appreciate all information and thank you for your patience!
