cinematic drums from samples

I bought high quality drums, percussion samples from
loopmasters . I have been using them in drumrack in abelton live 9
it sounds good, but not incredibly playable. and samples seem to short. should I as reverb to each sample or drum rack to make the drum hits last longer?any advice for using
cinematic percussion samples with production?
 
man do what you want with it.just increase the decay or sustain if it doesnt feel long enough to ya, or use an external sampler to do it.
also for lower latency just lower the buffer.
 
i mess with tons of unnecessary amounts of plugins before the word "buy" even comes into play.

The ones i'v stuck with so far are as follows:
slicex
wavepad
recycle
others would recommend audacity
