Chopping and pitching samples in pro tools

Hey guys, having a bit of an issue chopping and pitching samples in pro tools. I normally do this in maschine fine with no issue but I have been having trouble with quantizing and time stretching my chops correctly so i can export them to pro tools. Right now I have a sample with drums loaded directly into pro tools and I go in there and I chop at 1,2,3,4 and so on. But when I go to time stretch the chops, it makes the kicks or the snares sound fuzzy and weird. And lastly if I go to tune up the pitch of my chips around 400 cents or so, it makes my bass sound muddy fuzzy and weird. This does not happen in maschine if I pitch up a loop or a sample by 400 cents it comes out normal. Any advice?
