That's one of my next moves for sure, haven't yet touched chopping up basslines, I just learned chopping drum breaks so now it's time to see what can be done with a bass line, hope this thread can provide some good info.
When you sample the bass line, do you try and find it solo or do you just take it from wherever and try and filter out the highs etc.?
