Chopping?

Ive been doing my beats on FL for about a year now but Ive been trying to get into more of using my hardware turntable drum machine and my Boss SP-303 ive been messing around with looping samples adding effects and laying some drums over them but i wanna start to chop sample up make them less reconizable but im not to sure how to really chop them on then 303 should i take a sample mark a part resample it to another pad then mark another part resample then after i have a few parts sequence them how i want them to sound all in one pad.. I hope u understand what i mean if anyone can give me some tips it would help alot thanks
