    I just add 20 seconds of silence... this allows me to have time to get in my boot, and setup everything.... then when finished, I cut the entire project by 20 seconds, and everything is in perfect time.

    One of these methods is the way I go. Due to my mic being in my closet/booth on the other side of the room, setting the start back long enough for me to get to the mic and ready to record is the best way to do it.
