When should a producer Eq, Compress, etc

Lets say you have all your samples/ instruments complete and you are at the stage where you can start putting together everything to create your song
Do most producers put the song together and then EQ/ compress? Or do they EQ/ compress all their sounds and then create their song after?

I do it always at the end

But I think lots of producers use it at end because if they would compres it on start it would sound diffrent

I usually do faster because it's nice to focus on 1 thing at once --

    1. Make beat
    2. Arrange it etc.
    3. Mix it
    4. Create all your bring ins etc to make the song flow nicely!

I prefer to make the beat, arrange everything and set it in order, then Eq and compress the sounds.

But I think its up to you how you do it
