I just finished my set-up today...It's completely amatuer and basic....But my main goal is to just get something laid down on hard copy instead of doing little show's all the time....Anywayz... I'm using cool edit...
    The Problem...
When I plug my mic and head phones in and start recording....It's recording the beat as if it were playing into the mic... But when I unplug the head phones the mic records just find...Any suggestions...all help is appreciated....

I tried doing a small search but didn't come up with anything...I figured it'd be just as easy to ask....Thanx all

Go to on your computer where u can see ur audio recording stuff, its control or something dont remember, but i think ur computer recording is on record "what you hear" instead of "microphone" thats what happens, or ur mic is in the wrong input, either one, i'll try both and see what happens. But i forget exactly where u have to go to check it but its in control and then sounds or something go to start and look from there, good luck buddy -1-

    Good advice by Tony....
The s/card is recording 2 devices here and the loop back from the headphone is one of them. Do what Ton y has suggested and also check the control panel of your s/card and make sure that record is set correctly.
