Submix bus & Aux Bus

Someone please me the difference between these two. Correct me if im wrong, but is an ax bus is mainly like sending reverb to a track, and a submix bus is like an insert?

submix is a group just like grouping drums together can be used for vox, guitars etc. An Aux can be used for reverb or headphones mix. Pre aux for headphones post aux for reverb. No a submix is not an insert its just a group
