I got FL 9 n i tried messing with the 3X Osc i came close but not exactly how i wanted it...

any help?

the 3X Osc is an analog modeling software synthesizer, and if you think it comes close your ears will probably become more discriminating over time. Try an actual analog synthesizer and I think you will get the sound you are looking for. I know that they can be expensive, but for now you should go check one out. Then you will hear the difference and you can decide on the cost/benefit.

I'm pretty sure that 99% of the generic pump-a-thon that nowadays gets called "electro" comes from software synths, though.

Yeah probably, krushing. That's why I wouldn't rush out to buy one. The one in Trickster's example sounds like it has that analog thickness. Best I can tell from a youtube video.

Then again, admittedly there are a lot of affordable analogs these days (like the Mopho and its ilk), so it isn't impossible. It's just starting to be really hard to tell...
