I have it and it works good for me. has a pre amp you download which really helps. I have three different engineers and they all agree it's pretty good for the price.(i have the usb version) check out my page and each song was done with the mic.

It has a preamp you download? serious i have never heard of anything like that. I am not being sarcastic here - how does a downloaded preamp work? The whole purpose of a preamp is to amplify the signal and i just dont see how software is doing this?

I'm guessing the "downloadable preamp" is some kind of preamp emulator, like the Antares mic modeler - it models the sound of different preamps, but it's impossible for it to do the actual job of the pre - to preamplify the signal from mic level to line level.

i was wondering because if that was the case i was going to download a uad solo pre lol. I never used the mic plug from antares did it do anything close to what it claimed? I saw it but i have never heard or know anyone who has actually used it on a project.

HELL MY FRIEND HAD IT AND I THOUGHT IT WAS USELESS AND AND A WATSE OF TIME AND MONEY U REALLY COULDNT TELL DA DIFFERENCE WITH THE MIC MODELER PLUGIN ON OR OFF SO MAYBE ITS JUS ME I DONT LIK IT LOL.

I would almost rather have anyone besides this guy answer me.I do not get the slang talk on a forum? I am not saying you must meet or exceed the correct spelling and use of every word, but give me enough so i dont think your "special" lol.
