A little question about masterization.

Hi guys,

I just recorded a song with my band and now i've been working on the mastering.

Can you tell me what do you think about it? The drums are made using Ezdrummer and the instruments and the voice were recorded with a Focusrite sound interface. The transition between intro and the ska might be too abrupt (I also have some other versions), but I am asking as the overall mastering. We're gonna use this as a demo.

You haven't mentioned the mixing phase? Don't forget that one, it has far more impact on the song than the mastering phase.
Anyway, the guitar in the intro is way too harsh.

As for the master-quality, it's hard to say anything since the mix sounds poor.

I think if you use words like "masterization", you should probably just higher a mastering engineer to do it anyway.
