Left-Right is backwards, new please help if you can.

So I got some new headphones for monitoring today and I plugged them into my mixer's headphones slot. Now, I'm kinda new at this so please help me along if I'm missing anything. The computer I have my mixer connected to plays its sounds through the mixer and back out the headphones I have plugged into the mixer. However, when it does so, I only hear it through one side of the headphones, and that side switches upon switching to the cords plugged into the back of the mixer that go to the usb control interface.


Forgive me if I left out important details or explained poorly, but just tell me what other info you need and I should be able to provide it. Any help as to why these things are occuring would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe 1 of your cables is bad.

Everything comes out of just one headphone? Or just the mic into the interface? Could be several things. Do you have two outputs on your audio interface? left and right? Are the options on our sound card driver set up correctly? 99% of the time something is not plugged in or its a bad cord.
