I've gotta question I'm hopin y'all can help me with.. I had to do a system restore on my computer a week or 2 ago and I jus tried recoridn somethin, but when I press the record button on my Cool Edit, it picks up both my vocals and the beat... This has happened b4 maybe 2 or 3 other times, but I keep forgetting how the problem gets fixed.. I know it's not hardware problems.. To let y'all know, the mixer is plugged into the Line in.. Also, when I'm recordin, the mic picks up a buzz which was normal when this problem happened the last 2 or 3 times.. Anyone have any suggestions?

check which input on your soundcard is set as the default input...change that to the line in where you mixer goes in. Probably recording all sound sources as is or something similar. hope it helps

Recording vocals with the soundcard your PC came with is already a disaster. BUT, check your settings. Windows could be recording "Everything that you hear" <---I think thats a setting, in the sound panel.

This just started happening? You haven't made any changes to your hardware? I had the same exact problem, I had to rout somethings to the aux out on my mixer...
