    EXAMPLES
original: Third Party vs. Cicada - Feel (Unreleased) - YouTube
remake: Third Party vs. Cicada - Feel (Original Mix) - YouTube
original: Avicii feat. Salem Al Fakir - Silhouettes (Vocal Mix) - YouTube
remake: Avicii - Silhouettes (Oficial Video) Ft. Salem Al Fakir - YouTube

i'm talking about original work people have made and went back into the mix to make changes. these two tracks you submitted are originals to me. they just sampled the vocals and created brand new songs out of them.
Isn't that just a different mix of the same track?

I do think the ones I posted are the same somehow. I mean yes, the idea is a bit different but there's also like 7 years in between those tracks, but it was the same guy(s), the've basically just remade the track with 7 years more of technical experience!

Could agree on this one. I have went back to older songs many times.
The songs may sound like crap(Due to no mastering or mixing) ,but im after the melodies.
Apparently i made better melodies in the earlier days.
Fun to go back and listen to them. Especialy songs i thought were GREAT at the time.

I propably have 3-4000 songs/intros lying around. Sometimes i just make a melody ,save and move on.
A few months/years later i go back and listen.
Something in these old songs may trigger the will to finish it.
My latest song for example is one of those old gems.

no those tracks are different. ok well the avicii beat is the same but the vocals have been altered. and the 1st to links is the same song but structured waaay different. listen how the remake has no housey drums. just a constant four on the floor kick. thats just one noticeable change.

i have melodies for days. i save them for work that i will need later on. a lot of the times its work i haven't even came up with yet. michael jackson did the same thing when he was brainstorming. remaking my grooves have put me in a better place to. especially since i have added catchy vocals to them. people respond sooo much better to them. i'm happy.
