Ok. So here it is. When making loops to be exported to mixer or mixing programs or what have you, do you record the effects changes to the baseline say, live and then export that as a loop or do you just export mix then do it some other way? So far all I have are a bunch of plain sounding loops mixed together making a fairly boring song. Feel free to tell me if I'm not even in the ballpark to. I feel like a ten year old in the liquor store trying to pick out something hahaha.

When tracking out a mix I leave everything dry. On things that have a special effect that makes that sound 'THAT SOUND', I would export a dry version and a version with the effect, and leave some notes to the mixing engineer so he would know that that's the effect you want on it, maybe he can do it better, maybe he'll use the processed one you included.
