Hey guys. I'm a pretty low level aspiring musician who, over the past few years has got more and more into recording and particularly mixing music. After a year or two of saving money i managed to find a really cheap sound engineering and music production diploma course which has left me with a basic understanding of recording and mixing, but I’m under no illusions as to how low i am in the grand scheme of engineers looking for work, especially at a time like this. I realise i stand virtually no chance of getting any kind of studio work, and since i can't afford to go on to do a university course in sound engineering or anything to make this more likely, i figure my best option is just to try and get as much experience i can in mixing just for the practice, as well as for the fun i get out of it.
My problem lies in the fact that since i have no money to front for recording equipment or anything like that, I’m finding it pretty difficult to actually get the audio tracks to mix in the first place, since my focus is on mainly live band music rather than electronic music. So i guess my question is does anyone have any suggestions about where i could find audio tracks to mix for people (for free obviously), or indeed does anyone have any band tracks they wouldn’t mind me mixing, even if the end result never gets used for anything? Or if anyone has any better suggestions about how best to go ahead, even if you’re going to tell me my idea is rubbish and I should do something completely different that'd be great too, as you can see I’m fairly clueless about the next step to take.

Thanks
