    Extreme stereo on vocals

    Hey!

I have a problem with making my vocals sound right. I want that super stereo on my addlips, that makes them sound like as if they were two different vocals recorded one in the right and one in the left. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Can anyone help me?

I've tried different stereo enhancers, but none of them have made it sound stereo, only lower volume and a surround-like sound.

    thanks!

why dont you just record your vocals twice and pan one hard left and the other hard right. no stereo expander can give you the same sound then if u actually did it

There's a song called "Empire" (Bomb the Bass featuring Sinnead O'Connor) that has this exact effect on Sinead's vocals. There's 2 different vocal tracks panned hard left/right, and the result is awesome. Check it out.

I think SonicTS is right. You must record it TWICE, maybe with some proposital variations on pitch or so.

OR YOU CAN TRY AN AUTO PAN EFFECT IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT FEEL RATHER THAN THE REGULAR STEREO EFFECT

Record your take in Mono, then copy it to another track, or simply record another take if u really want. Pan one hard left, and one hard right. Now, delay one of the sides a little setting it off time to the other one and experiment with this setting. That is key to the effect you are looking for. Very old trick in the book type of thing-
