At the same time, engineers are a bunch of sissy ass pansies that cry every time they see a red light. Here's the thing, if you give two different songs to an engineer to criticize, and one is severely over compressed but the output is turned down - the other is compressed hard but not disturbingly hard and kept at full output - the engineers will criticize the louder one for being over compressed but will deem the other one to be "stylistic." Not all engineers, but a lot. So, you might find yourself getting over it pretty soon.
