can rappung aggressively cause long term vocal cord damage?

Wasnt Totally sure where to post this.

I'm asI'mg asking because I recently started vocal lessons with a renowned tutor, and she told me I had a natural range and accuracy, and just needed to work on tone.

What I'm wondering is, can I ruin this advantage if i rap aggressively? Depending on the song I might be basically screaming
 
your vocal production studies will allow you to do the screaming without damage - take your time and get it right
