Alright, I want to connect the "line out" (1/8 stereo input) on my computer to the speaker wire slots on the back of a car speaker (boomin system lol) that has been taken out, how would I convert these 2??

I called GC and the guy said they dont have a cable capable of this??

    example....

As far as connecting them, yeah. But, keep in mind that car speakers are powered by an amp, just like any other speaker. So driving a speaker with a 1/8" line level is almost useless. Ideally you'd connect to an amp, then from the amp into the speaker. So the amp would likely have RCA inputs.

I'm curious what has an 1/8" out that ur tryin to run directly to a 4ohm speaker? That alone will tell u if ut's a yay or nay. Unless it's a walkman and a tweeter, ur probably not going to get any sound out of it.

second the need for an amp the speaker will not work directly connected to the 1/8" jack. You need an amplifier to run it.

You aren't paying attention ... a "pre-amp" is not an amp, hence the "pre" part.

I used an old school Sony stereo receiver for this situation. 1/8 inch out to the RCA jacks in on the receiver, then connect the speaks to the receiver.
