    What does "2-track" mean?

    I've been hearing producers/engineers say they "2-tracked" something. wtf does that mean?

    a stereo sound file.
    Stereo Interleaved basically. a full mixdown of a track with a left and right channel

    its the final product. all mp3 songs that you have are all 2 track mastered song. 1 track for the left speaker and 1 for the right

    its also used to describe a session in which an artist brings in an already mixed version of the instrumental to track over for the final product instead of bringing all the stems for the beat.
