tracking with the mbox

ok i just received my mbox today and have a problem. whenever i try to track from my mp7 to the mbox i barely hear anything. now when i connect the s/pdif everything is cool. so this has led me to believe its my mbox inputs dying. if anyone has any knowledge on this i would be grateful.
 
... set it to 'line'...and turn the knobs to the right... this isn't that difficult...
 
it turn out the cables i were using were bad problem fix
