How to create those G-Funk style Synth lines.

First your going to need a Sine Wave or a Saw Wave with Set Loop Points or a really long sample of one. If you dont have one, I'll tell you how to make one in FL.

Go to Channels>Add One>3x Osc

Go to the channel settings of the 3x Osc

Now Turn the volume all the way down on Osc 2 & Osc 3

Now you have a basic Sine Wave.

Now that you have your sound, go to the channel settings of that sound and go to MISC. Now click the "Mono" Button, this gives the sound Mono Polyphony so it can slide from note to note.

Now open up the Big Piano roll and create a melody, but when your creating the melody make all your notes over lap. Now they will slide from note to note, this is usefull for creating those 90's g-funk synth lines.

thanks alot man.. im at work right now.. but im gonna try it when i get home.... again.. thanks... hopefully it works....much appreciated...1

Thanks, I was always trying to figure out how to make my **** slide from note to note. I always had to use factory presets for my g funk leads but now I'ma start creatin' my own ****. Thanks man.

another way in FL is tp use Dreamstation synth, to acheive that slurred note effect, turn the porta aarounf 40 or 50 %, or just play around with it til u get what you like, then just fine tune the settings and make a melody then you got your g funk whine, simple as that. peace

its called gansta whine. Almost evry synth have it but you still gotta set it to mono and make the notes overlap for that gangsta sound... Good insight mr INSIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

I've Heard OF Reason Already Havin' A Gangsta Whine Preset.

your poly should equal 1 so no other notes are playing. portamento/glide/etc can be adjusted accordingly. anything over 50% is overkill.

ahhaha ive been trin so long to get that sound im so amped no you showed it thatnk homie now i can sleep at night with out haveing to drink a 40 or 2

Yo check out this crazy ass MF beat I just did with that ****! G-Funk *******!
