Remove Resonance from Synth leads.

It's easy to remove whistling from a ride or hihat because they usually play one not - but what about Synths that jump around an EQ and have multiple bad frequencies that need to be filtered out? I keep hearing whistling on my lead synth not matter how much I EQ. I really need help with this.

What/which synth(s)? Hardware or virtual? They usually have a resonance control to fine-tune that sort of thing. But you could also use the same "sweep, boost, cut" EQ process that can be applied to any other track. Cut the frequencies that sound the most egregious to you...

Yup, adjusting (filter) resonance is the first thing that comes to mind :D But in general, make the changes at the source - change the synth patch in way so that you won't have "multiple bad frequencies" instead of trying to fix it later.
