Remove empty parts of recordings?

Hi! I'm currently working on recording a sample library and I'm using audacity to trim my audiofiles to remove empty parts of my recording and save some discspace. This is a kind of tedious process as I have a lot of recordings. Is there a way to automatically trim audiofiles from empty information, kind of like a gate but with automatic removal and save-function? Thanks

I know FL studio has a trim knob on the sampler and apparently you can save directly from the sampler by right clicking the waveform and hitting save as (I use FL11, not sure about recent versions).

You can also configure FL to view samples in the browser from a specific folder. this way you can quickly drag and drop audio files into the same project, trim and save somewhere else. See attachments.

Hope this helps :)
