Remixing and remastering a song question

Lets says you remixed a commercial beat and you have finished remastering. Would you use dilthering, even though it may have already used dilthering?

Check what bitdepth the track is in, if it's in 16-bit you won't need to use dither.
However, you don't want to receive any songs or stems that are in 16-bit format.

(sorry, steffeeh, had this ready to roll and forgot to press submit)

great question; let me ask a few in return:

Do you understand the purpose of dithering? answering yes to this is important because it is the only way you can answer yes to see this thread for more info on what dithering is and isn't https://www.futureproducers.com/for...-mixing-mastering/all-about-dithering-360099/

Are you in a situation where you need to dither? i.e. have you been working at a higher bit depth and are now preparing a final 16 bit 44.1kHz render?
