Need mix feedback on rock song.

A friend asked me to try out mixes for some songs that they recorded. I've spent a couple hours mixing but am at a loss for where to go next. I think i've achieved some good separation in the low end but I feel like the guitar is not standing out the way I would like it to. Any general tips on how to improve the overall sound and clarity if the mix?
