My Voice is Not EQABLE

I'm recording vocals with my artist and when he records on the track , his voice is easy to mix but when I put mine on the track it gets really scratchy . any suggestions ?

Without hearing it, I would say try a different mic. There is no one mic that sounds good on every voice. A mic may highlight the best characteristics of one person's voice and at the same time highlight the worst characteristics of someone else's voice.

Nah just kidding, it's just that not all mics are made for every voice out there.
As the members have already said can you please post an audio sample to better comprehend and help you fix it?
