Multitracking

Question,

When I had Vegas Audio installed on my PC and recorded multi tracks while mixing, there were no problems. I had to format my hard drive recently and reinstalled everything back on my pc and now when I use vegas audio, it seems to be giving me problems. Now when I try to mix in a new track, it's onbeat perfectly as I mix it in but once I play it back it's off by a 1/2 beat. It seems that when I am playing back a track while recording to another at the same time, the old track may have a delay when coming out the soundcard causing it to be off when I play back the mix.

Any ideas what can be happening here?

-when u reformatted, you prolly installed different drivers for your sound card which are causing the latency. . .OR

. . .you reverted back to the default settings in Vegas, so now you need to dig around and look for the latency settings in there, and adjust till your liking

Thanks for your help. I seems that it might be the driver for the sound card. I will have to look into this.
