Mixing & Mastering - CONTINOUS PROBLEM WITH PIERCING HIGH END

Hi! I seem to be having the constant problem of always mixing my track, getting the bass and kick to sound great, but always having this PIERCING High end no matter what I do! even if I'm doing say a 4 to 6db cut, And it's sounding good, The mix is then coming in at 8db, so I turn up my channels to get the mix coming in at 6db, and what do you know... the piercing high end is STILL Occurring! I've tried everything, Going through it with a NEEDLE EQ And boosting frequencies to see which ones need cutting out, I CUT Them frequencies out, but the piercing high end is still there.


PLEASE HELP!!

Try to de-ess the high end on your master a db or two. That can help some of the harsh transients.
