Metalic sound effects in Ableton

does anyone have any good techniques to achieve a metalic sound in ableton through effects?

I'd probably start with the Corpus (the plate model sounds pretty metallic by default) & Resonators effect. Additionally - if you have M4L & the Convolution Reverb (or any other convo reverb that allows custom IRs), you can find some samples of metal objects being hit (or better yet, record them yourself), load them into the reverb & experiment with what you'll get. Or just mix those metal sounds with your existing samples.

If you want to add a metallic effect to a sound, try putting it through a delay with a very short time, just a few milliseconds.
