Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows how this producer got his kick sample to be so punchy? I'm more worried about the actual kick rather than the 808. If someone has the sample, that would be much appreciated. PS, I'm always down to trade drums.

The first thing when it comes to getting a kick sound is finding the closest matching sample. It doesn't have to be the exact one but you want to get a kick sample thats real close. To me it sounds like some sort of boost in the upper 5000 Hz range, high passing the sub energy and a good amount of limiting. Make sure for a kick like this to get rid of any mud in the lower 250-500 range.
