I don't know what I can do better with the mixing on this..

Can some1 with a trained mixing ear tell me a few things wrong with this mix that can make it sound better? I've been attempting to mix my own beats and vocals but I feel like its always missing something or maybe it's something overly used.. I'm trying to be my own engineer but it's hard when you are producing, writing and singing at the same time.

if its your beat, that would be the first thing i will sit and take some time for rearangment/fixing...like, its lacking of dynamic...its too static beat, doesnt move me...just my feeling, opinion...so when you 'fix' it maybe the overal effect of a song will be better...about vocal, its somehow emtpy in my opinion (for chorus/hook)..too simple = not very interesting to listen.. But maybe even a little gain on vox will change things positevely..thats just my 3 cents
