How to question - Piano part in Sigala - Give Me Your Love

I would like to know how the piano was processed from one 8 bar section of the song to another.
Using the Vevo Youtube video as a reference

The first 8 bar section starts at

The 8 bars after that starts starts at

1:02 ~ 1:03

What changed between the sections to bring out the piano like that?
did he change anything on the piano track it's self or did he simply clear up the frequencies to give it more space in the mix?

Well, there's no bassline during the second section you mentioned, and the piano is being played very "hard", so it stands out.
