HORRIBLE static when recording

i was hoping you guys could help me out here

ive got an akg 220 perception running through a mobile pre usb on a dell desktop computer. i record in my basement, and recently it flooded..it wasn't too high but there was definitely a lot of moisture in the air. I'm trying to figure out if i'm going to have to buy a new preamp or mic..right now i'm leaning towards a new mic but i wanted to get some other opinions so i dont end up wasting $100 to find out im still getting static.

and i record on adobe audition 1.5 if that matters..applying noise reduction doesnt help

Borrow another mic from somewhere, or just buy something - any cheapo thrift store mic would do - just so you can try the interface with something else, so you can decide if it's the mic or the interface...

Moisture in the capsule can do these kind of things .
Try leaving the mic in a warm dry cupboard for a day or so .
