HELP - Cool Edit Pro, Clipping Issue

Hey guys,

I've been having abit of trouble with this for the past couple of weeks,

I have been told clipping should start at 0db. and im sure up until recently that was the case, not sure if iv changed any settings in cool edit or not, but clipping now occures at -6,

i have an example RAW vocal recording:




I have a USB Audiobox Interface with condensor mic, I have tried a dynamic mic to troubleshoot, but same thing happens,

I can turn down the gain on my audiobox, but i feel its just way to quite and its not picking up my voice properly,

I would appreciate any help in restoring the clipping back to 0db.

Looks like its in the yellow thats fine...are u sayin its red soon as it pass 0...and cool.edit.is.the.greatest.(Peter quistguard is my uncle) the.vocals look.big...sumtimes.its.better to.turn.down.audio.interface mic output....perform.louder.more.intense vocal wave form.shuld.b small on.cool edit.track
