FL Studio question: What's the point of the LMH mix knob on Maximus?

I'm confused with what's the point of the Low Mid High mix knob on Maximus. When I turn it all the way right, it's like all the sounds are played x2 which I don't know "sounds" good or right... so I usually opt for keeping it dry (all the way left) to play it safe.

In mastering, am I supposed to have the dial turned all the way right? Thanks!

It's like a Dry/wet knob. Having it 100% dry would defeat the purpose of using it.

I keep it at it's default value unless I am using it for parallel compression.

It is very useful tho. Above controls the latency of it which ends up being a 'smearing' section.
