EQ Vocals easy!

heres a quick little eq chart!

just sweep

-bass 60hz shelf cut
-fullness 100-250hz
-muddiness 250-700hz wide cut
-nasal 400hz-1khz nar cut
-smoothness 1-2khz nar cut
-harsh 2.5-4khz nar cut
-presence 4-9khz wide boost
-sparkle 10khz shelf boost

yes mos def! and its not like a preset but more like a guide line, example: i basically listen to the vocal take then if there voice sounds harsh ill do a sharp q boost and and listen where that harshness is then cut it and widen it a lil, but that harshness is usually in between those freq above. if their vocal take isnt harsh i wont even cut there. jus cut only if u hear those problem noise. but that "smoothness" cut is a must! it really does smooth out the vocal take. but yea play around the freq, each person has a different voice therefore different cuts and boosts. hope that helps and yea this is actually one of my beats and me and a couple friends ����
